How we protect your privacy and handle your data
Last updated: March 2026
Oxbit Cleaner is designed with privacy as a core principle. Core cleanup and AI analysis run on your Mac, and we only use data that is necessary for the app to function properly.
Oxbit Cleaner uses local telemetry aggregates for weekly summaries and product diagnostics. If any diagnostic data is collected, it is limited to what is needed for app operation and support. This may include:
Oxbit Cleaner does not upload your personal files to remote services. On-device scanning uses local metadata, such as names, sizes, and dates, to identify items that may be cleaned.
Anonymous usage data helps us understand which features are most valuable and identify areas for improvement.
If you contact support, we may ask for system information to help troubleshoot issues. This information is only used for support purposes.
We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. Oxbit Cleaner is a paid application with no ads or tracking.
All file scanning, Dry Run analysis, and AI Doctor processing happen locally on your Mac. No files are uploaded to our servers for cleanup decisions.
If support diagnostics are shared, they use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
Local telemetry summaries stay on the device unless you explicitly share support diagnostics.
You can review the app's privacy-related prompts and avoid optional support sharing if you prefer.
Contact us if you'd like to understand what local data the app uses or request help with diagnostics.
For privacy-related questions, reach out through the Mac App Store or our support channels.
